BUSINESS SEGMENT

At present, the business activities of TSI Group can generally be segregated into specialist contracting, marketing & engineering and property business segments. The Group began as a specialist contractor involved in the ceiling, flooring and partitioning works. Having successfully established its position in the specialist contracting arena in Malaysia, the Group begin market and trade in a wide range of specialised premium building materials and architectural products. Subsequently the Group ventured into peoperty development.

Specialist Contracting

The Group started its specialist contracting activities in 1990. Today, it provides multi-specialist contracting services for medium to large scale interior fit-out and renovation works. It is currently the leading multi-specialist contractor in Malaysia that provides a spectrum of specialist work, which include ceiling and decorative finishing, partitioning systems and floorings works.

In 1997, the Group started the design, manufacturing, marketing, supply and installation of architectural aluminium products and glazing works such as windows, doors, shopfront and curtain walling.

Marketing & Engineering

The Group begin its trading, distribution and marketing of building products in 1992. It currently offers a wide range of specialised premium building materials and architectural products that include mineral fibre ceiling boards, suspended ceiling systems, acoustical operable and movable wall systems, architectural coating and render system, exterior wall insulation and finishes systems, joint compound and solid surface material.

In 1993, the Group began to supply and install raised floor, public and retractable seating and in 1997, the Group acquired a company, which is currently a wholly-owned subsidiary, which design, supply & install a comprehensive range of high quality systems for the safe and reliable distribution of power, voice and data services throughout all types of building.

The Group offers underfloor power track distribution systems, access floor service boxes, wall trunking systems, lighting power distribution and control systems, cable management systems, floor poles, desk and screen power, data and telecommunication units, service poles and electrical accessories.

The Group's portfolio of products include expansion joint covers and a variety of building products for the Hospital sector. The Group commands a significant share in the supply and installation of certain hospital products such as, hospital cubicle track systems and hygenic coating systems.

Property Development

Since its inception in 1995, the Group currently offers multi disciplinary services encompassing turnkey projects from conception to completion. Its capabilities include technical project management services to the building industry, civil engineering general construction and specialised contracting services. Its management services covers the construction of new buildings for both the public and private sectors, refurbishment of existing buildings, construction of factories and housing scheme.

To enhance its dynamic role in the property industry, the Group is undertaking the development of several mixed commercial and residential projects in Kuala Lumpur on a joint venture basis.
